Win8 how to set IE as the default HTML editor

Editing HTML files is a common task for web editors or front ends. As one of the most common browsers, setting IE's default HTML editor is the focus of many users. Let's take Win8 as an example to see how to set IE's default HTML editor.

Operation Method

1. Open the Internet option.

2. Click on the Programs tab.

3. In the HTML editor drop-down list, find the program you want to set, and set it to Notepad.

4. Confirm, save.

If you only occasionally modify the HTML file, then setting IE's default HTML editor to Notepad is more than enough. Of course, you can also choose a more powerful DW to use.
