How to solve various problems in the process of installing Win8.1? Make a U disk boot disk to install Win8.1

The machine is 6G memory, 500G hard disk, the original system is Windows 7, now want to switch to Windows 8.1, so download the 64-bit Windows 8.1 ISO image file, open with DaemonTools, open After directly clicking setup.exe, then only one system will be installed on your current system, that is, dual system, you can not uninstall the current system, think about it or make a U disk boot disk and install it.

1. Making a USB flash drive with UltraISO

The method is very simple: plug in the USB flash drive (pre-formatted), then open the Windows 8.1 ISO in UltraISO. For the image file, select “Start Disc —Write Hard Disk Image” A picture is enough to illustrate.

Then I waited, the speed of this writing is related to your system and U disk, anyway, I wrote about ten minutes to write.

2. In the BIOS, change the boot order of the boot boot to U disk boot

After booting the boot disk, you can follow the system, first need to be in the BIOS. Modify the first startup item to be a USB flash drive. Then restart and start the installation process. However, my process is quite tangled. The following are the problems I encountered during the installation process (I installed the 64-bit English version of the system), it took a long time to resolve, so recorded for reference.

Problem 1: Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI system, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.
