How WinXP encrypts offline files to make it more secure

  

We sometimes use offline files in our daily work, which allows us to use some network files without a network. However, the disadvantage of offline files is that there is no encryption and the security is not strong. So how do you encrypt offline files? Now Xiaobian teaches everyone how to solve it.

Solution:

1. The user can select the Folder Options command on the Tools menu in Windows Explorer and in the subsequent dialog box. Make settings for the folder options to set the encrypted offline file feature to active.

Description: This option is only available in Windows XP Professional.

2. Select the Offline Files tab as shown below.

3. Select the Offline Files tab

4. Check both Enable Offline Files and Encrypt offline files to secure data. Data security and encryption of offline files) check box.

5. Click OK.

Offline files are encrypted while being read into the local cache with a private key and certificate provided to the client computer user.

Note: Do not encrypt files that have been stored in the roaming user configuration. This is mainly because once the file is loaded during the login process, the system cannot open the files in the configuration.
