How to install win10 latest preview version using U disk and UEFI

This experience uses UEFI to install Windows 10 using U disk. A computer that supports UEFI booting, with normal Windows 7 installed, has more than 50G of unused space (or blank partition) on the hard disk. The main process includes formatting the USB drive, copying the Windows 10 installation files, changing the UEFI boot mode, and finally installing.

Part 1: Making a bootable U disk installation disk

1. Insert the U disk; use the administrator privileges to start the "Command Prompt" program.

Note: "Start”-“All Programs"-“Attachments", you can find the "command prompt> program.

2, start DISKPART, execute the following program in sequence:

1.list disk

2. select disk #

3. clean< Br>

4. create partition primary

5. format fs=fat32 quick

6. active

7. assign

8. list Volume

9. exit

Part 2: Get the installation file

1, visit the insider.windows.com, log in (or register), download Windows 10 Iso file.

2, use the decompression tool to decompress the downloaded iso file and copy it to the prepared U disk.

Part 3: Setting the boot sequence

1, turn on the UEFI boot function of the computer. Start the computer, press the corresponding button to enter the computer's BIOS system, navigate to the Configuration tab, press Enter on the Boot Type, select UEFI Boot Type, save and exit.

Note: The case of entering the computer BIOS system varies depending on the model. For details, refer to the instruction manual of the computer. Usually F2, or F10, DEL, etc.

2. Set the computer to boot from the USB flash drive. In the figure below, move the third item to the first item (generally press F5, F6 or PageUp, PageDown, etc., or you have to read the manual).

3. When starting the computer, press and hold the startup media selection button (such as the F10 button, you also have to read the manual), and choose to boot from the USB flash drive.

Part 4: Do a good job of partitioning, start and complete the installation

1, this is no choice, and everyone is ready for it.

2, the partition phase is the focus. Select “Custom Install & rdquo; here.

3. If it is a blank hard disk that does not have a partition, the Windows Installer will automatically create an ESP system partition and an MSR reserved partition.

Note: This experience was experimented on a computer with Windows 7 installed in UEFI mode, so there are already ESP and MSR partitions (specifically Baidu related concepts), the currently installed Windows 10 defaults to the existing ones. The two partitions.

4. Continue partitioning. The computer hard disk of this experiment has more than 200 G of undivided blanks. Therefore, create a 100 G partition on this part of the partition as the primary partition for Windows installation.

5, start installing.

6, the entire installation process and Windows 8 is very similar, after a series of settings, the last screen appears "please use it", the entire installation process is over.

Note: Make a backup of the documentation before installation.
