[Figure + video] new version of Win10 on-site experience: Microsoft finally found the right direction

Beijing time on the 22nd at 1 am after the press conference (Microsoft headquarters is located at 9 am on the 21st), reporters Experienced a variety of different devices on the show floor, such as Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10. If you want to use two words to describe the operating system after this change, it seems that it is no longer easy and quick. In addition, Microsoft has tried to eliminate the intuitive difference between running desktop applications and modern applications, and you can finally seamlessly switch between them and freely choose windowing or full screen.

It can be said that Microsoft has finally brought Windows 10 back to the right path, everything is based on the window, and strive to do a "continuity" (Continuum). When you remove the keyboard or flip the morph to the tablet mode, you will be prompted to switch to tablet mode for a more convenient touch experience (rather than a more accurate mouse).

Of course, when it comes to specific implementation methods, OEMs will have a lot of room to play. At some point, the tablet mode still retains the long display of the taskbar. However, if the size of the tablet is too small, it is not necessary.

In terms of application switching, the “Alt+Tab” key combination is still available, but the window preview interface will be different (for example, adding more virtual desktops).

All in all, this is a more touch-friendly interface (such as swiping left or right, or by clicking on the thumbnail on the taskbar to switch apps).

Cortana can be said to be a surprise for Windows 10, which is now fully integrated into the system. In addition to quickly launching the application and searching for content on the computer, it can also be transformed into a "status point" (small circle) and text box.

In the live experience, the reporter in front said that Cortana was quite convenient and quick in performing voice search tasks. Given that it is only an early prototype stage, there is still much room for improvement in the future (Microsoft will launch a beta version in a few months).
