WinXP CD can't play how to enable CD auto play function

  

A friend who uses the XP system will find that the disc that was still in use a few days ago cannot be played in the XP system. Very depressed! In fact, this is the XP system security software or optimization tool to disable the auto play function of the disc. How to open the auto play function of XP disc?

Method 1、Strategy Group

1. Click the [Start] menu, select [Run], and enter “gpedit.msc” and then confirm;

2. In the left column, under "Local Computer Policy", open “Computer Configuration ——Administrative Templates——system”, then under the heading "Settings" in the right column, find &ldquo ; Turn off automatic playback”

3. Double-click “ Turn off autoplay”, set the pop-up settings window to “disabled" or “not configured” and press OK . Then restart your computer.

Here are a few settings: Unconfigured (system default is not configured to enable autoplay) is enabled (you can choose to disable only discs or disable all drives in Autoplay)

Method 2, Registry

1. Click the [Start] menu, select [Run] —— type regedit, then press Enter;

2. Locate the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\Explroer primary key in the Registry Editor and find “NoDriveTypeAutoRun”. Right click and select “Edit binary data” to change the value to “00 00”. 00 00”;

3. After editing, exit the Registry Editor and restart the computer.

The XP system disables the autoplay function of the disc for security reasons. After all, autoplay is more susceptible to viruses. However, if necessary, the autoplay function can be enabled through the policy group and the registry.
