Windows Settings Synchronization

In Windows 8, you need to log in to the system by default. You need an account. There are two types of accounts. One is a newly created account and the other is a new Microsoft account. If you log in with a local account, the settings will not be synchronized between the computers you use, and if you log in with a Microsoft account, you can enjoy a truly personalized experience: all personalization and customization on the current computer. The settings will roam with you to any other computer. (As shown below)

As you can see from the above figure, in the Windows sync settings, in addition to system settings such as theme, personalization settings (screen lock image, desktop background, user avatar), etc., including application synchronization, That is, users can purchase which Metro style apps are purchased through the Microsoft account, and which apps are installed on each PC (no more than five) under the account, and synchronize the settings synchronization and status synchronization within these apps. This allows data synchronization from the user's last exit to form a continuous experience.
App Settings Sync

App Settings Sync includes synchronization of in-app selection settings (such as the city selected in the weather app, the subscribed section in the news app, the favorite team in the sports app) and the sync set by itself (eg Permission settings, some application preferences, account settings, etc.).
Application Status Synchronization

The status of an application refers to the location where a user interacts with the application within a specific application, such as the reading location, the game archive point, the current music play track and adjacent tracks, and the location of the movie. This means that when users can switch between Windows 8PCs, you can relocate to the same page of a book, the same level of a game, or the same location of a movie you just watched.
File Synchronization

In addition to the synchronization on the settings, we have previously introduced that Windows8 also uses the Skydrive cloud service to synchronize files between different PCs. The new Microsoft account defaults to its own SkyDrive service, which can save documents, photos, and photos taken by mobile phones in this cloud storage space. In addition to centralized storage, as we said before, SkyDrive also supports Windows Phone photo synchronization (WindowsPhone). Every photo taken by the user is automatically synchronized to the cloud photo collection), the Office document is synchronized (Office2013 stores the document in Skydrive by default), and the files in SkyDrive can be accessed in other Windows 8 Metro style apps. Support “Fetch”Remote Get the file function. (See -Win8-Skydrive for more details)
Consumer Synchronization

Because the new Microsoft account is associated with Microsoft devices, platforms and services, the consumption of each account is also the basic synchronization setting, which means Microsoft Finally, the equipment and service consumption will be opened up. In the future, whether it is in the application mall, music movie mall or game mall, the consumption can be truly synchronized between various devices. For example, when you are on the road, you can buy a movie with Windows Phone, and watch a part on the road. After you go home, you can watch it on your PC or watch it on SmartGlassAirplay. According to Microsoft's plan, the future can be used on PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones (WindowsPhone), game consoles (Xbox), ultrabooks, TVs, etc. Microsoft account login, to synchronize the configuration and usage habits on different devices, so that cloud storage and cloud computing services are truly implemented. Of course, the premise for domestic users is that these products and services are guaranteed to be listed and accessed in China in the future.
