It will inevitably have some bugs or software compatibility problems during use, so it is not recommended to replace it with current The system you are using, it is best to install dual systems or experience the latest features of Win10 in a virtual machine.

First, replace the current system (immediately upgrade the current system to Win10 technology preview)

Open the ISO image after downloading the image (Note: Double-click directly in Win8/8.1, available in Win7 Rubik's virtual CD-ROM drive), directly run setup.exe in the mirror root directory, as shown below.

▲Check the installation environment. This may take a while, depending on the amount of software in the system you are currently using.

▲ After the check is complete, the installer will list the things you need to be aware of, such as system functions. Missing or compatibility with existing software, etc. If there are no things to note, the results shown below will appear.

Note that no matter which option you choose, the current system will be replaced by the Win10 Technology Preview after the upgrade. The “personal files” refers to the contents of the “Users” folder; the specific applications can be retained depending on the compatibility of these applications in the Win10 preview; if you select “do not retain any content”, After the upgrade, “Personal Files” will still be saved and moved to a folder named Windows.old.

Click Next to start the installation. If you choose to keep all content upgrades, this can be a very time consuming process.

The disadvantage of this method is that it cannot perform a formatted installation (ie, a clean installation). If you want to perform a formatted installation, please refer to III.

Second, the easiest way to form a multi-system

First we have to prepare a partition for the Win10 preview. Any partition with enough free space is eligible, but it is recommended to prepare a clean partition separately. If you want to delete it after the experience, a separate partition can avoid some trouble.

Partition:

Open the disk management, find a partition with a large remaining space, right click and select “compress volume”:

▲ Enter the appropriate size (here, only 30GB space is allocated as a demonstration, it is recommended to be no less than 40GB), click “Compression”. An unallocated space will appear after the partition you selected.

▲ Right click on the unallocated space, select “New Simple Volume", and click on the window that appears in the window that appears. Note that if you are prompted to convert the hard disk to a dynamic disk, it is because your hard disk is an MBR partition structure. The number of primary partitions has exceeded the maximum limit of the partition type ——4, please abandon the partition operation.

Installation:

If it is successful, it will automatically form multiple systems after the installation is completed. A multi-system selection menu will be available at boot time.

The disadvantage of this method is that it does not allow cross-system architecture installation. For example, you can't install a 64-bit system this way with a 32-bit system. If you want to install the 64-bit Win10 preview in a 32-bit system, please refer to III.

Three, some common installation methods (single system, multi-system, you choose, there is no such method restrictions)

This is recommended to use the U disk installation method, while supporting both UEFI and traditional BIOS mode. After downloading the image, install Rubik's Cube (click to download), and find Rubik's U disk in Rubik's Cube application, as shown below

Press the prompt in the figure, just select U Disk (must see carefully, don't choose wrong!) and mirror, click “ start production & rdquo;

Note: If you are prompted to destroy the U disk data, please make sure that the U disk is not selected correctly, click OK.

After making the boot disk, restart the computer. Select to boot from USB to enter the installation environment. General brand machines have shortcut keys to select the boot media. These shortcut keys are usually F12, etc. Press the shortcut key after booting the brand machine logo, and then select USB or Removable similar options in the list that appears to boot from USB. As shown below

If you can't find the shortcut key, press DEL, F2, ESC, etc. to enter the BIOS setup interface when the brand logo appears on the display, and find it in the BIOS setup. Boot related setting options, set the USB or Removable option to the first boot option, and finally press F10 to save and exit. The specific operation is shown in the figure below.
