The computer can't shut down the machine. What happened?

My friend is open the Internet. There are often some computers that will find that the computer is turned off very slowly after a certain period of time. It will not be able to shut down normally for a long time. What is going on? This may be caused by the CPU or memory usage is too high, the unused software is installed too much, some software is running when you shut down, you can not see, so the shutdown is particularly slow, you must harden the computer, so the operation method This is not true, because forced shutdown will seriously affect the life of the hard disk.

Solutions

First, open in the Start menu bar (Start-Run-regedit), click “ My Computer opens “ Edit menu > Find, enter AutoEndTasks , point & ldquo; find the next one. Double-click to open the found result and modify the value data to 1. Then under the AutoEndTasks, you can find HungAppTimeout, WaitToKillAppTimeout, and set the value data to 2000 or a small dot. Here, you can also modify the menu delay time. Find the MenuShowDelay under the AutoEndTasks. The value is in milliseconds. If you want to remove the menu delay, set it to 0. After the modification, click "Edit menu", open "ld_; find the next one (shortcut F3), and modify the results found in the previous step.

Second, Windows; XP boot speed is indeed much faster than the previous version of the operating system, but the shutdown speed is a lot slower. If you care about the speed of the shutdown, you can modify several registry keys to greatly reduce the time it takes for Windows to shut down. First open the registry editor, find HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl; PanelDesktop, there is a key named HungAppTimeout, its default value is 5000 (if not, change it to 5000). Next, there is a WaitToKillAppTimeout key, which changes its value to 4000 (the default is 2000). Finally, find the registry in the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetControl. Similarly, change the value of the WaitToKillServiceTimeout key to 4000. In addition, setting the NVidia; Driver; Help service in the Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services to manual can also speed up the Windows shutdown time. ;

Third, if you feel that the above method is too cumbersome to operate, you can use computer butler to optimize. Turn off the startup item.

Fourth, the computer is used a long time, some friends improperly operate the computer, the system will generate a large number of junk files, including temporary files (such as: *.tmp, *._mp) log files (*.log) , temporary help files (*.gid), disk check files (*.chk), temporary backup files (such as *.old, *.bak), and other temporary files. In particular, if you don't clean IE's temporary folder for a while; "Temporary; Internet; Files, the cache file sometimes takes up hundreds of MB of disk space. These LJ files not only waste valuable disk space, but also crash the system in severe cases.

Five, there is a way, you can reinstall a system if there are conditions, will not ask for help.
