All Users folder:

Win 98/ME all user folders, which include the contents of the desktop file and the start menu when the system is logged in by default.

Win 2000 does not have this folder in the Win 2000 system directory. Win 2000 puts the user's information in the Documents and Settings folder in the root directory. Each user corresponds to a directory, including the start menu. Desktop, favorites, my documents, and more.

Application Data Folder:

Win 98/ME Application Data Folder. Includes shortcuts in the taskbar, some files for input methods, and more. The contents of this directory vary depending on the software used in your system.

Win 2000 In the Documents and Settings folder, each user corresponds to an Application Data folder. Similarly, each user has the same directory content because of the different software used.

Applog folder:

Catroot folder:

Command Folder:

Each user of Win200 has a Favorites folder located in each user directory in the Documents and Settings folder.

Fonts folder:

Win 98/ME/2000 font folder. In this directory, you can add delete font files, or delete some unnecessary files to reduce the space occupied by the system.

Help folder:

History folder:

Win 98/ME/2000 installation file folder. When installing the driver, we will be prompted to specify the corresponding Inf file. To use these files is also very simple, just select "Install" in its right-click menu.

Java Folder:

Win 98/ME/2000 and JAVA related folders. It includes two subfolders, Classes and Packages, where Packages contains some compressed files and some data files. The Trustlib subdirectory is also included in Win 2000.

Sysbckup folder:

Win 98/ME system backup folder. The system will automatically back up the registry and system files, and package them in this directory. When you need to restore, you only need to unpack the files and cover them with the corresponding directories.

System Folder:

Win 98/ME/2000 System Folder. Important files in the system are placed in this directory, and files are also copied to this directory when new software is installed. Since many files are common to multiple softwares, it is best to choose not to delete the files in this directory when deleting the software.

System32 folder:

Win 98/ME/2000 32-bit system folder containing many virtual device files. It is also very important to pay special attention to the deletion of the files inside.

Tasks folder:

Win 98/ME/2000 Scheduled Tasks folder, which contains scheduled Windows tasks. Windows will run these tasks at the specified time.

Temp folder:

Win 98/ME/2000 temporary file directory. A lot of temporary files are generated during the running of the system and software, and are stored in this directory. Regularly cleaning up files in this directory can reduce the garbage on your hard drive.

Temporary Internet Files folder:

Win 98/ME IE download file buffer. When using IE browser to browse the webpage, the system will automatically put the content of the browsed webpage in this directory. When you open the same webpage again, the system will extract it from this directory, which can speed up the browsing.

Each user of Win 2000 has a Temporary Internet Files folder located in the Local Settings directory in each user directory of the Documents and Settings folder.

Web Folder:

Win 98/ME/2000 The files in this folder are mainly hypertext templates, channel icons and images, and so on. The layout of some windows in the Windows system is also done through the files inside. I didn't think this directory was important before. Later I found that Happy Hour Virus was the purpose of destroying the files in this directory.
