How to modify the color of the Windows folder

Replace Folder Icon

The specific method of replacing the folder icon is:

1. Open the Registry Editor

Open the [Start] menu. [Run] command, then enter “Regedit, open [Registry Editor]. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows CurrentVersionExplorer-Shell Icons; suppose you want to set the icon of the current folder to the fourth icon. If the key value “4 does not exist, just right click on the right window and select [New] → [String Value], and name the string value "4", then assign the string value "ld_;4" to the location of your icon.

2, delete the Shelliconcache (shell icon cache) file

For Windows NT/2000 systems, it is generally in the WinnT folder;

For Windows 9x/Windows XP System, it is generally in the Windows folder.

The Shelliconcache file is a hidden file that needs to be executed first attrib -h %systemroot%Shelliconcache to see it

3. Restart

For Windows NT/Windows 2000 classes For the operating system, you can log in and log back in, but Windows 9X/Me users need to restart the computer.
