Computer Shop News: Today Microsoft released the March update patch as scheduled. This update not only fixes the functionality and security of Win10 system, but also the security repair of Vista/Win7/Win8.1 and other systems. Fixed Win10 built-in Edge browser security vulnerability.

Not long ago, foreign security personnel found a fatal security vulnerability in the Win10 Edge browser. If users use the Edge browser to view specially crafted PDF files, clicking on “Thunderfield” will allow the attacker to obtain remote code. Execution authority seriously jeopardizes system security.

Now Microsoft has fixed the vulnerability through the cumulative update of KB3140745 (for Win10 B10240 users) and KB3140768 (for Win10 B10586 users) in March, and solved the problem "Culprit": PDF Common Library safe question.

It is reported that PDF universal library is the default built-in component of Win10, all applications that use PDF browsing function will call PDF universal library. So the potential security threat is by no means limited to the Edge browser.

Microsoft said that all Windows 10 users should install the March update patch as soon as possible, or use the Microsoft security tool EMET 5.5 to curb the vulnerability.
