A large number of Windows7 PC users refused to upgrade Windows10

Computer store news: According to foreign media reports, a large number of Microsoft Windows 7 users refused to update to the Window10 operating system, even if this is a free upgrade. On July 29 this year, Microsoft released Windows 10 worldwide, and all existing Windows 7 and Windows 8 PC users can upgrade for free for one year. Although the Windows 7 operating system has been well received by users, Windows 8 has been criticized for redesigning the user interface for touch screen optimization.

According to the latest data from market research company Net Applications, most of the user feedback about Window 10 has been positive so far, but most Windows 7 users still insist on using this 6-year-old operating system.

On Tuesday, Net Applications reported that 56.1% of PC network users in November this year used Windows 7 systems. Since the release of Windows 10, this number ratio has remained high, with values of 57.7%, 56.5% and 55.7% in August, September and October, respectively.

At the same time, the proportion of Windows 8 PC users has skyrocketed last month. The percentage of PC network users using Windows 8 in November was 14%, compared with 13.2% in October. Before the release of Windows 10 in June this year, Windows 8 had a 16% market share.

After four months of release, Windows 10 has taken a 9% market share in November, compared with 7.9% in October, Net Applications reported.

The sales of new PCs with the latest Windows 10 operating system have stagnated, which has led to a slowdown in the adoption rate of Windows 10 by users. Net Applications data shows that in November all Microsoft Windows operating system versions accounted for 91.4% of PC network users, Mac OS operating system ranked second, about 7%, again Linux, only 1.6%.

On November 23, US market research firm Gartner predicted that a large number of users will switch to Windows 10. “In the consumer market, free upgrades, extensive set-up support, and automatic wireless upgrades ensure that tens of millions of users will become familiar with the operating system by the end of 2015. ”Gartner analysts said this in a statement. "For the enterprise, we expect that installing the Windows 10 operating system will be much faster than installing Windows 7 six years ago. ”
