Microsoft denies Win7/Win8.1 update illegal collection of user information

This disappoints users who originally thought that Win7/Win8.1 is safer than Win10 on personal information issues. However, Microsoft said that the above four patches will not illegally collect user information.

According to a response from a Microsoft spokesperson, these patches will only collect information on Windows 7/Windows 8.1 users based on the "Customer Experience Improvement Program" (CEIP) regulations, so only Users who join CEIP will participate in this collection of information.
