Among the 5 patches, one MS15-100 fixes the Win7/Win8.1 Media Center software vulnerability. According to Trend Micro, if an attacker wants to make a user, the first thing to do is to let the user open a file containing malicious code by sending an email containing the information to the user. Or through some website downloads and other means. When these files are successfully downloaded and run, the Media Center-specific format file “.mcl” is created and then illegal. After testing, the file is very easy to create and can be achieved with Notepad.

It is now more than a month since Trend Micro notified Microsoft to fix the vulnerability. If it is not fixed in time, it will be very dangerous. Windows 7/Windows 8.1 users can search for the September security update through the Windows Updater, download and install it in time, and schedule a reboot to avoid dangerous situations.
