Win10 Build 10240 gets hot fixes again

  

Computer Store News: Insider members who have installed the Windows 10 Build 10240 update can now download another patch update via "Windows Update". Just Microsoft released a hot fix called KB3074679 for x64 systems that fixes authentication issues when linking Microsoft accounts to local user accounts.


Since KB3074679 is a cumulative security update, it will include the previous bug fixes as follows:

• Fix OpenType font remote code execution vulnerability

• Fix IE browser's Adobe Flash Player vulnerability

• Fix privilege escalation issues that Windows 10 installer service does when running custom action scripts

The update also includes a new driver for Intel HD series graphics cards and the latest definition files for Windows Defender. That is, the account settings after the main body of the Win10 system is installed. This update only applies to the Win10 installer OOBE process and will only be used when OOBE updates are installed.
