Win10 SDK Preview comes with Build 10166

Computer Store News: After pushing Windows 10 PC Preview Build 10166 update, Microsoft has updated the Windows 10 Preview SDK for developers, just like the system version update. The sub-SDK update didn't contain much new content, but it fixed some bugs and brought an API change.

In addition to a number of bug fixes, this SDK update adds the following API updates:

Windows.ApplicationModel.Email——Adding extra getter properties

Although the change is not large, the updated SDK still contains a known issue that will affect users upgrading from Build 10069 or 10074:

When installing Windows 10 SDK 10166, AppVerifier does not install properly and set the rollback. Or when trying to uninstall the Windows 10 SDK 10069, there is a problem with the AppVerifier package uninstallation failure.

Known Issues

If you haven't upgraded the SDK from 10069/10074, this issue will have an impact. When you install the Windows 10 SDK 10166 version, AppVerifier does not install correctly, the installer rolls back or when you try to uninstall Win10SDK 10166, the AppVerifier package fails to be uninstalled.

Solution:

Download the AppVerifier.zip file to your computer

Extract the contents to a known location. For example: C:\\temp

Run with the administrator command indicator: c:\\temp\\InstallAppVerifierBinary.cmd

After completing the above operation, AppVerifier should be installed or uninstalled normally. >

Microsoft said at the end of June that they will start pushing new SDKs for the "Quick" & Win10 Build update. From now on, Microsoft has fulfilled its promise. Interested developers can click to go to the Windows 10 Developer Tools page to download.
