Win10 built-in mail mailbox security and upgrade, support TLS protocol

Computer Store News: Nearly three years after the release of the first Modern app, the Windows 10 built-in mail application has finally been updated to support TLS (Transport Layer Security). Because most mail servers have cancelled SSL 3.0 support, users will be faced with problems connecting via email applications on Windows. Fortunately, the latest Windows 10 Build has been updated to support TLS.

Reports from Aeyoun show that the implementation process is still not enough, even if you manually change the port, the application must first try to establish an SSL connection. Microsoft provides an option in the Advanced Settings section to disable incoming mail SSL, but it should now provide better security by default.

But Microsoft has not taken action yet. It is unclear whether Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows Phone 8 versions will support TLS after the update. Now that Windows 10 is ready, we should be able to enjoy a more secure mail transfer.

This new improvement was not mentioned in the "Mail" app update, nor is it clear whether this agreement will be available to Win8/Win8.1 and WP8.1 users. However, since these systems can be upgraded to Windows 10 for free, this part of the user can solve the problem by upgrading the system.
