Microsoft updated Win10 SDK preview 10158, adding a number of new API

Computer store news: Microsoft fulfilled its promise to accelerate the launch of the Win10 SDK preview. In addition to Windows 10 Build 10159, Microsoft also released the Windows 10 SDK Preview Build 10158 today, but this latest update of the Windows 10 SDK Preview did not bring New features, mainly focused on bug fixes and performance improvements, the full update log is as follows:

Some API type properties and method signatures have been changed. The new APIs added in this SDK release include:

Windows.Devices.Perception

Windows.Devices.Perception.Provider

Provider API Allows IHV and OEM as UWP Add exposedepth, infrared, color camera (and associated metadata) and specify a camera as the Windows Hello face authentication camera. The Windows.Devices.Perception namespace contains a client API that allows UWP applications to access the color, depth of field, or infrared data of a computer vision camera.

Windows.Media.Capture.AdvancedCapturedPhoto

Windows.Media.Capture.AdvancedPhotoCapture

Windows.Media.Media.AdvancedPhoto*

AdvancedCapturedPhoto and AdvancedPhoto* Is the new Windows 10 Photo Shooting API that enables applications to take HDR photos. For HDR features that are not supported but support VPS (Variable Photo Sequence), the API will generate HDR photos using platform algorithms.

Windows.Media.Import.PhotoImport*

The Windows Photo Import API in the Windows.Media.Import namespace is a new, modern, asynchronous WinRT API that enables Windows Store and Classics Applications that import images and videos from portable devices such as smartphones and digital cameras, as well as memory cards and other removable USB storage media, emphasizing ease of use and performance. One of the key features of the PhotoImport API is that it runs in the background so that the import can continue even if your application is paused/locked.

This is just some of the commonly used APIs, others are Windows.Media.Capture.CameraCaptureUI and

Windows.Security.ExchangeActiveSyncProvisioning.EasClientDeviceInformation.

Unless you are working on Windows 10 development, it looks like learning a new foreign language. However, if you are a developer, we recommend reading these new APIs. As Microsoft pointed out in the blog, developers need to migrate your project to the latest Win10 system version and the Win10 SDK for compilation.
