Win10 search function will be improved with the start menu integration

Computer store news: With the voice assistant Cortana stationed on the Windows 10 platform, the search function is becoming more and more important in the traditional desktop system, which is specialized from the Windows 10 desktop taskbar. This is evident from the location of the search box. In the upcoming new Windows 10 Technology Preview, search functionality will be improved and adjusted again.

Win10 search in the current version

As of the latest Win10 build 9926 version released by Microsoft, the search function is temporarily like this: Click the search box to enter keywords. The system pops up a floating window to display the results and related suggestions. From the UI point of view, the current search window is still quite awkward, the floating window area is relatively large, and will block other objects.

According to the latest news, in a new version of the Win10 preview, the search will be integrated with the start menu and will not be rendered separately as it is now. Some users who are using the new version revealed that the search-related operations were transferred to the start menu, and the independent floating windows in Build 9926 and earlier were canceled. In addition, this change will also apply to Cortana, and future voice commands will also be made in the start menu.

As for the release of the Win10 preview with the new search function to the public, it is still unclear, Microsoft official did not disclose the relevant information. Although there should be a new Windows 10 preview push this week, there will be some performance to see the new search feature, but the chances are not too high.
