Win10 storage-aware improvements, adding new application storage options

Computer store news: Last weekend, a Windows 10 internal Build leak revealed that the user interface has been significantly updated, including new desktop themes. The improved Storage Sense feature also gives us some hints about the Windows 10 final version of the operating system.

Microsoft has added a new "Save Location" setting option for Storage Awareness, which, as its name suggests, allows users to set a default save location. Although music, pictures, and documents have standard settings, you can now set default save locations for apps, games, and more.

In "Storage Location", users can choose from a variety of files, such as music, photos, and documents, such as default storage locations (internal storage or removable storage devices). In the newly added "Store new apps and games to" option, the system provides the possibility to save apps downloaded from the Windows Store to other locations, such as SD cards. This allows SD cards to be used as an extended storage space, and devices with limited internal storage space can allocate storage space more flexibly.

This setup means that in addition to internal hard drives, Microsoft also allows you to save Windows Store content to another location, such as an SD card. Obviously this is a popular new feature that makes budget-based devices more flexible, most of which have SD card slots that make it easy to expand storage, and these are cheap.

Now Build 9901 has not added a new storage location for the above settings, you need to select it through the drop-down menu. Microsoft will hold a press conference on January 21 next year to talk about a new chapter in Windows 10.
