WP7.8 version of Skype was abandoned, Microsoft turned to support OS X 10.5

Computer shop news: not afraid of God-like opponents, afraid of pig-like teammates. Microsoft Skype previously announced that they will give up support for WP7, Saipan and older versions of OS X. Although Windows Phone 7.x users have as many as 10 million users, if you decide to support more than 300 million users, it is understandable, but Mac OS X 10.5 users are less than 5 million.

Mac OS X 10.5 began in 2007, Apple gave up support in 2011, and Microsoft Skype believes that this part of the population is precious enough not to simply abandon.

The Next Web reports that Microsoft Skype will provide a special version for Mac OS X 10.5 users. According to market share statistics, Mac OS X 10.5 accounts for 7% of Mac OS X's total, less than 5 million.

Microsoft Skype made such a decision, giving up 10 million Windows Phone users without any rules. If it is using other platforms, but can get a good experience, is Microsoft Skype playing its own face?
