Microsoft stopped XP version of Security Essentials update on April 8

Computer Store News: Microsoft has already announced that it will end its support for the old Windows XP system for more than a decade on April 8th, but the company will continue to provide updates to Microsoft Security Essentials anti-virus software for this system. ?

From a new statement from Microsoft, we better not expect it. In an explanation given to ZDNet by Microsoft, the company "will not be able to guarantee the anti-malware signature database and engine after April 8."

Since the words are all about this, in theory, Microsoft may continue to provide updates to the XP version of Security Essentials after the end of Windows XP support. However, XP users still have the worst plan to do it as soon as possible.

Earlier this week, Microsoft released its latest version of "Security Intelligence Report", pointing out that Windows XP's malware infection rate is nearly six times higher than Windows 8.

After a support period that ends in less than six months, the risk is clearly much higher.
