8.1 The overall design of the application has changed

Computer Store News: The official version of Windows 8.1 will arrive on October 18th, when Windows8 PC users can get a free upgrade. Along with it, there are a lot of features and updates for built-in applications. In a new blog post, Microsoft has given several changed application designs that developers can adopt in their own applications. Win8.1 includes a new alarm clock application, and Microsoft says its typesetting process is an important part of its design.

Microsoft said in the blog that the Windows 8.1 Alarm App uses a 32-point Segoe UI Light font. The color circles and labels around the time numbers are all hovering above.

The new version of the reading application in Windows 8.1 also attempts to use more color methods than other applications. Microsoft pointed out that the color of the swatch from head to toe makes it more 'immersive', providing 'visual clues' for fresh content and darker for older content.

Microsoft has also developed a new UI bar for Windows 8.1 applications that can display navigation commands. According to Microsoft, "this scales to show more connections and shows one or more levels of structure". This new navigation bar (nav bar) has also been used on the Windows Store, and even the text editing of Windows 8.1 has been improved so that users can better select the selected text on the touch screen.
