Microsoft rectifies WP8 store spam application and changes ranking strategy

Computer Store News: Microsoft has received a lot of complaints from Windows Phone users. These users are not very satisfied with the way the WP store is divided. Previously, Microsoft's "Top Games" ranking was based on the number of downloads of a certain game application over a period of time, but this clearly led to the ranking of many applications "unworthy;"

Microsoft's memo to WP game developers explains this latest system in detail, and apparently Microsoft intends to adopt a new algorithm to determine whether a certain game should appear in "Top Games" ; in the list. The memo shows that Microsoft wants to consider the user ranking of a particular game, that is, how often the game is fixed or unpinned at the start screen and how often the application crashes.

The purpose of this policy change is to reward WP developers who provide high quality, high performance and high user satisfaction gaming applications.
