Win10 update version of Redstone early design drawing exposure: start menu big change

Computer Store News: Win10 will be Microsoft's last generation operating system, meaning that all future Windows new features will be pushed to Windows 10 users in an updated way. However, Microsoft has not revealed too much about the future update plan of Win10. According to the information obtained so far, Win10 will welcome its first update this fall, and 2016 will usher in a major update.

The major update development code for 2016 is Redstone. The update will be pushed to users in two batches. The first wave will be launched in June 2016 and the second wave will start in October 2016.

At present, Microsoft has begun to prepare for Redstone, but the official has been keeping a tight mouth. In a private meeting with only a few reporters during the Build conference, designer Jeff Fong showed the early design of the updated version. The most notable changes are the start menu and the taskbar.

The picture shows a new start menu, the dynamic tile in the new start menu can be displayed in 100-percent width (of the start menu), and the gap between adjacent dynamic tiles becomes smaller. And the tile is flatter. With the introduction of the burger button, more features will be added to the start menu.

In addition, the taskbar will also undergo major changes. All the icons in the taskbar will be centered and appear to draw on the design of Mac OS X. In addition, according to foreign media, the taskbar will be hidden, and only the icon will be displayed, which looks more like a floating Dock toolbar. If Win10 really adopts this design in the future, it will be the biggest change in the taskbar since Win95.

Dynamic Interactivity This post will be added to Redstone and will go far beyond what you expect. Users can control the playback of music in the tile and even read the Facebook log without having to open the app.

The system also introduces a design called "Platforms in Tiles", just like the tile grouping in WP8.1, which can be the same Types of tiles are organized together.

Overall, Redstone is indeed a major feature update for Win10, and every change in these designs is impressive. However, these are the original prototypes of Redstone and everything will change at any time. (via: softpedia)
