Windows Azure supports FedEx import/export data

Computer Store News: For those who want to try cloud storage services but have some psychological barriers, Microsoft will provide a new preview service to dispel customers' concerns.

No matter how much data is involved, uploading will always take you a lot of time. But Windows Azure's import/export service can overcome this, especially with —— you can use FedEx instead of traditional cable connections to "send" data.

Customers can transfer BitLocker encrypted hard drives to Microsoft's data centers, where they can be quickly transferred to a cumbersome storage account. The Windows Azure Management Portal can be used to set up and manage import/export tasks.

It remains to be seen whether this will become a popular method of data transmission.
