Win10 enables a new login interface + open method

Computer store news: Win10 Build 9888 and 9901 leaks let people discover some new features not found in the current Build 9879. It is not suitable for downloading and installing for the leaked version of Build, but soon, with the launch of the Windows 10 Consumer Preview version of Build, these new features will be provided by default.

However, if you have installed Build 9888 and 9901, you can modify the registry to enable the new login interface. Right click on “Start” and select “Run” to enter regedit.exe to open the Registry Editor. Then just follow the steps below:

1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>

Authentication>LogonUI>TestHooks (full path image)

2. Double-click Threshold to open the DWORD (32-bit) key.

3, change the value to 1, complete the settings.

If you want to reset back to the default login interface, just repeat the above steps and change the value of 1 to 0. Neowin member ians18 produced a video that enabled the new login interface. The video display locks the screen with a different design, without background and full transparency, with time and date in the lower left corner.

It is worth mentioning that ians18 also reported multiple account issues in Windows 10 Build 9888 and 9901. The new login interface does not support the creation of multiple accounts.

ians18 reports: "After activating the new login button, I tried to create a second account. Unfortunately, the second account will be automatically logged in, even if I click to log out, I can't go back to my main account. . In order to solve this problem, I set the second account as the administrator account, and then restore the registry value, which returns the original lock screen and login interface, so that I can log out and log in to the main account. ”

The lock screen has become translucent, which is similar to the design of Windows Phone, and the login screen has a new layout. The return of Win10 transparency may start from this moment. In the forthcoming Win10<1 month technical preview", this setting should be used.

Just because of errors, Windows 10 Build 9888 and 9901 did not enable this new feature, but if you only create one account, you will not be affected by the error. This feature is not available in Build 9879.
