The official version of the time for bulk authorized users to download

  

Computer Store News: Windows 8.1 will be officially released on October 18th. Windows8 users can get upgrades through the Windows Store one day in advance. Currently, Microsoft has provided Windows 8.1 RTM to OEMs and TechNet/MSDN subscribers.


For volume licensees, when can I download Windows 8.1 at the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC)? The official Microsoft spokesperson elaborated:

1. Will Win8.1 RTM be available at VLSC at the end of this month?

Windows 8.1 Enterprise Edition RTM will be released via TechNet and MSDN at the end of this month. Volume licensees with Software Assurance (SA) will be available for download.

2. Can a batch of authorized users only get the enterprise version? Can you get the Win8.1 core board and professional version?

On October 18th, consumers can get Windows 8.1 Enterprise and Professional through VLSC. Windows 8.1 (core board) will not be available through VLSC, but can be obtained by MSDN before the official release.

3, Windows Server 2012 R2?
