Win8 usage rate has reached 13.02% in June

Computer Store News: The Steam Gaming Platform continues to count usage of the user's operating system. Continuous data indicates that tens of millions of Steam users are actively turning to the Windows 8 platform. Today, the Steam hardware survey site shows that in June 2013, approximately 13.02% of Steam users used the Windows 8 system to access the Steam service.

Although this number is still rising, compared to last month, the increase in the number of Win8 users on the Steam platform seems to be slowing. According to the statistics of May this year, 12.72% of users are using Windows 8 system. In other words, Windows 8 usage in Steam users increased by only 0.3% in one month.

On the other hand, on the Steam platform, the number of 64-bit Windows 8 users is very close to 32-bit Windows 7 users. If this trend continues, then on the Steam platform, the end of July, the 64-bit Windows 8 operating system will become the second highest operating system, and the results are still relatively gratifying.

Needless to say, Win7 is still the operating system that currently dominates the market. On the Steam platform, the Windows 7 operating system scored 66.23% in June, a slight decrease from 66.63% in May.

In other operating systems, the Windows user usage rate for Windows XP dropped from 7.97% in May to 7.68% in June, while Vista increased slightly from 7.25% in May to 7.97%—&mdash This is already the third month of Windows Vista's usage rebound in Steam statistics. Steam users' Mac and Linux system usage is still negligible.
