Microsoft Knowledge Base Oolong, Win8/Win8.1 almost blue screen

Computer store news: This Wednesday, Microsoft released multiple security updates, cumulatively repaired 23 vulnerabilities. One of the KB2930275 patches was used to fix the Windows kernel driver vulnerability, but the Microsoft Knowledge Base was wrong with the Win8/Win8.1 platform. Fortunately, Microsoft did not push the wrong patch, otherwise everyone will face the blue screen event.

Microsoft introduced the KB2930275 patching feature in the MS14-014 security bulletin

•MS14-014: Vulnerabilities in Windows Kernel-Mode Driver Could Allow Elevation of Privilege (2930275)

//Fixed privilege escalation vulnerability in Windows kernel mode driver

But Microsoft KB2930275 knowledge base has the following error, marking Win8 patch as Win8.1 6.3.9600 platform; The Win8.1 patch is marked as Win8 6.2.9200 platform. Because KB2930275 is related to the underlying kernel driver of the system, this patch is critical to Windows stability.

Fortunately, the KB2930275 knowledge base does not provide a download link for the patch. Otherwise, the blue screen is unavoidable after the Win8/Win8.1 platform download and install the error patch.
