Microsoft pushes IE cumulative security update for Win10 preview version 10049, fixes multiple vulnerabilities

  

Computer store news: Today, Microsoft released a cumulative security update for Windows 10 Build 10049 Internet Explorer browser. Microsoft has previously released updates for Windows Server Technology Preview and Hyper-V Server Technology Preview to extend the expiration date of Build until the next preview comes in May.


Microsoft claims that the Windows 10 Build 10049 IE cumulative security update addresses the following issues:

This security update fixes a vulnerability in Internet Explorer. The most serious hazard from a vulnerability is that if a user browses a specially crafted web page by an attacker using Internet Explorer, remote code execution may be allowed. Once an attacker successfully exploits these vulnerabilities, it may gain the same user rights as the current user. A user's account is configured to have fewer system user rights to reduce the impact.

Windows Server and Hyper-V Server Technology Preview Updates:

This update will extend the expiration of Windows Server Technology Preview and Hyper-V Server Technology Preview until 2015 The next preview version will arrive in May.
