Vulnerabilities in IE8 are exploited by hackers

Computer Store News: According to Net Applications data, IE8 is still the most popular version of the Microsoft browser family. On Friday, Microsoft said it had discovered a vulnerability in the browser, but pointed out that the issue would not affect other versions. Microsoft's security blog pointed out that in theory, the vulnerability could allow remote code execution if a user accesses a malicious website using an affected browser.

Computerworld.com reports that the problem was first discovered by security company Invincea and has been used for hacking attacks against the US Department of Labor and the Department of Energy.

Users who are still using IE8 can upgrade to the latest version to avoid this vulnerability.

Microsoft is working hard to create a patch to cover this vulnerability. If users don't want to upgrade their browsers, they can also set the Internet and local zone security to "high"; or set the prompt before running any active scripts (of course, you can disable active scripts altogether) ).
