In January of this year, Windows 7 market share suffered the first decline since its release, just over a month before the system broke through 45%. However, the rebound in Windows 7's share is not very surprising, because there are still PCs pre-installed with Windows 7 on the market, and the growth of Win8 share has not reached expectations. Win8's share in December increased by 0.66 percentage points, which means that the system's growth in January and February this year is lower.

With the $15 Windows 8 upgrade service due at the end of February, it is difficult for Microsoft to avoid a slowdown in sales.
