Oracle's five Windows services

  

After installing Oracle, the system will create a series of Oracle services, these services can guarantee the normal operation of Oracle. You can see the following services in the "Administrative Tools""Services" in the "Control Panel":

1. Oracle ORCL Vss Writer Service.Oracle Volume Mapping Copy Write Service, VSS (Volume Shadow Copy Service) enables storage infrastructure devices (such as disks, arrays, etc.) to create high-fidelity point-in-time images, that is, shadow copies. It can create mapped copies on multiple volumes or on a single volume without affecting the system's system capabilities.

2, OracleDBConsoleorcl.Oracle database console service, orcl is Oracle's instance ID, the default instance is orcl. When running Enterprise Manager, you need to start this service. This service is set to boot automatically by default.

3, OracleJobSchedulerORCL.Oracle job scheduling service, ORCL is the Oracle instance ID. This service is set to disabled by default.

4, OracleOraDb11g_home1TNSListener. Listener service, the service is only needed when the database needs remote access, this service is set to boot by default.

5, OracleServiceORCL: database service, this service will automatically start and stop the database. ORCL is the instance ID of Oracle. This service is set to boot by default.
