Microsoft's free MSE global share of 15% won

  

Microsoft's free anti-virus software MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) has been widely praised by users since its release, which also reflects its market share. According to the latest research report issued by the authoritative certification body Opswat, according to the statistics of more than 150,000 computers worldwide, Microsoft MSE's global market share has beaten many well-known anti-virus software to win the championship.


Microsoft MSE has a 15.3% share of the global security software suite market, ranking first; followed by avast!, Avira Red Umbrella, ESET NOD32, AVG, respectively. It is 13.6%, 9%, 6.8%, and 6.2%. In the Top 5 globally, only ESET NOD32 is a fee-based software.

Opswat data also points out that MSE users update the virus database much more frequently than other users, and 94% of users will update the software within 7 days.


Opswat also released operating system market share statistics, in which Windows 7 usage rose to 53.8%, Windows XP continued to decline, fell to 36.2%, Windows 8 market share only It is 1.3%.
