Google glasses equipped with bone conduction headphones

On December 10th, Google said that Google has used bone conduction technology to send notifications that only users can hear.

The device is able to make contact with the mastoid bone that is directly linked to the middle ear, which means that any audio output - such as new text messages, Google+ reminders or any notifications - will be transmitted directly to the ear canal, except for the user. No one can hear it, and even under high background noise, it can still be perceived.

Bone conduction technology has been used in many wearable audio devices, such as Bluetooth headsets and stereo headsets. While more efficient penetration of background noise, the technology also helps keep the user's ear canal open without the need to be plugged into an earbud.

Although the audio quality of the bone conduction system is not as good as the traditional fever headphones, the other advantages of this technology can make up for all its shortcomings.
