Microsoft revealed that since the release of the Windows 7 operating system in late 2009, the company has sold more than 400 million installation licenses by the beginning of this summer, and it is expected that 200 million licenses will be sold by the end of this year. With more than 600 million license sales, Windows 7 will replace Windows XP as the leader in the operating system market.
