What is the reason for installing XP system without finding a hard drive?

Cause analysis:

1. The hard disk setting in BIOS is incorrect.

If the hard disk parameters are not set correctly in the BIOS, you will be prompted to find it during installation. To the hard drive.

2. Hard disk cable is loose

Because the hard disk cable is loose, the hard disk will not be recognized correctly when the computer is turned on.

Workaround:

1 Manually identify the hard disk in the BIOS

Step 1: After restarting the computer, press the corresponding button to enter the BIOS (usually Delete key or F2) key).

Step 2: Select the "Main" menu.

Step 3: If it is an IDE hard drive, select the “Pirmary IDE Master” and “Primary IDE Slave” menus and press Enter. If it is a SATA hard drive, try selecting the menu from “SATA 1” to “SATA 6” and press the Enter key (Figure 1).

Step 4: Set all options in the selection interface to “Auto” (Fig. 2).

2 Reconnect the hard drive data cable

Step 1: Turn off the computer and unplug all the power plugs from the computer.

Step 2: Open the chassis.

Step 3: Carefully unplug the data cable connected to the hard drive.

Step 4: Carefully unplug the data cable connected to the motherboard.

Step 5: Reconnect the data cable firmly.

Step 6: Plug in the cover and plug in the power.

Supplement:

It may be because your XP system disk does not have an integrated SATA controller driver, so you can't detect your SATA hard drive. Solution: 1. Use integrated SATA The controller-driven XP system disk can be used. 2. Enter the BIOS, change the SATA option to IDE or compatible, restart the computer, and use the XP disk without SATA controller driver to install it, no error will be reported.
