For the security of the system, we will update the system through the automatic update function of Windows or through other tools such as the vulnerability repair function of anti-virus software. Regardless of the method used to update, in order to recover the system after these updates fail, Windows always makes a backup of the relevant old files before the update, and these backup files are saved in our system disk. When the system is successfully updated, these backup files are useless. In fact, after the successful update, these backup files are not deleted, so these files become garbage on the disk.

In "My Computer", through the "Tools" menu, open "Folder Options", in " In the View tab, check Show all files and folders. Then open the Windows folder in the system disk, here we can see a lot of folders with "contentrdquo; beginning and ending, such as "$NtUninstallKB943460contentrdquo;, etc., these folders are garbage generated by Windows updates.

If your computer is running fine after the update, then these folders can be completely removed. However, it should be noted that only deleting these folders does not completely clean up our system. Because Windows is updated, in addition to saving these folders, it is also recorded in the registry, only to clear the relevant records in the registry, it is considered to completely remove the garbage.
