After setting up a file server in the LAN, you can ensure the security of shared resources by setting user access rights to shared resources. By default, Windows Server 2003 systems do not have a file server component installed, so users are required to manually add these components. Step 1, log in to the Windows Server 2003 system as a system administrator, click on the “Manage Tools” "&rarquo;<;Manage your server" menu item in the Start menu, open “Manage your server” window. Click the “Next” button as shown. Enabling the Indexing Service Indexing Service is expensive for server resources. It is recommended that the service be enabled only if the user needs to frequently search for shared folders. In step 6, open the “Select Summary” dialog box and confirm that the settings are correct and click the “Next” button.
