Why can't I download the update from the local SUS server, how should I solve it? After the SUS server is set up in the LAN, the default configuration of the client computer does not know the server. According to the information provided by Microsoft's official website, the SUS client is built into Windows 2000 with SP3, Windows XP with SP1, Windows Server 2003, and the latest Windows XP, so there is no need to install it. Only Windows 2000 and below and Windows XP that is not upgraded to SP1 need to install the client. So just find the computer without the built-in SUS client and execute the downloaded Wuau22chs.msi client program to install it. The steps to edit the relevant policies in Windows XP are as follows: Step 1, click the “Start”→“Run” menu item, type gpedit.msc command in the Open ” edit box and go back Car, open the "Group Policy" window. In the left pane, expand the "Computer Configuration" option, right-click on the "Administrative Templates" option, and execute the "Add/Remove Templates" command as shown. Step 2 of the Group Policy Editor, click the “Add” button in the Open “Add/Remove Templates dialog box to open the “Policy Template” dialog box. Select the wuau.adm template in the template list and click the “open” button, as shown in Figure 2008120542. Select the wuau.adm module wuau.adm is the template file for setting up Windows Update in Group Policy. If the file is not in the group policy, the client will not be able to download and install the update file. Therefore, you need to copy the downloaded template file to the Windowsinf folder. In step 3, you can see the added policy template in the “Add/Remove Templates” dialog box. Click the “Close” button to close the dialog box as shown. To view the newly added policy template, go to step 4, go back to the “Group Policy” dialog box, expand the “Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components” directory, and click to select the Windows Update option as shown. Select Step 5 of the Windows Updates option, double-click the “Configure Automatic Updates” option in the right pane, and select the “Enable” box in the “Configure Automatic Updates Properties” dialog box. You can set the update method as needed. For example, select “Automatically download and plan to install” in 20081203. Note that you also need to set the “planned installation date” and “plan installation time” separately as shown in the figure. To set up the update plan, step 6, click the “Next Settings” button, and select the “Enable” box in the “Specify the Intranet Microsoft Update Service Location Properties” dialog box. In the "Set up the company's internal Internet update service for detection and update" and "Set the internal Internet statistics server", enter the SUS server URL, the server URL is the internal network address of the SUS server computer, and add On /SUSAdmin (in this case http://10.115.223.1/SUSAdmin).
