Windows 2000 specifies time format and date format

  

Due to differences in living habits and geography, the format of time and date varies from region to region, and the default time and date format for Windows 2000 systems is set according to US conventions. If the user is not used to this default format, it can be set according to their own habits.

If you want to change the display format of the system time, you can select the "Time" tab in the "Regional Options" dialog box (Figure 3 - 9). In this tab, change the "Time Format", "Time Separator", "Morning Symbol" and "PM Symbol" by selecting or entering a new value in the corresponding drop-down list box, for example, in the "Time Format" drop-down When the "H:mm:ss" option is selected in the list box, the time is displayed in the format "hour:minute:second".

To set the display format of the date, you can select the "Date" tab in the "Regional Options" dialog box (Figure 3 - 10). In the "Calendar" options area, use the spinner to set the year in which the two numbers represent the time period, the default is from 1930 to 2029; the "short date format" and "date separator" in the "short date" option area "Two drop-down list boxes to select or enter a short date format and date separator; select or enter a long date format in the "Long Date Format" drop-down list box in the "Long Date" option area.
