Environment variables in Windows 2000

I installed the Windows 2000 Professional version very early, the C drive still installed Winodws 98, and the Winodws 2000 installed on the E drive (the application software is installed under Windows 98). I tried to open some software without installing it. It turned out that Visual FoxPro 6, VC++, WPS 2000 and other software can be used directly. WinZip8.0 and other software can also be used after entering the registration number. Photoshop and other software will pop up after opening. The series dialog box displays the following message: The following dynamic link library PFPICK could not be found. Dl with the path specified: D Program FilesAdobePhotoshop5.0cs. E WINNTSYSTEM32 E WINNTSYSTEM E WINNT E WINNTsystem32Wbem But after clicking "OK" all the way, it can still be opened. Can you not let these dialogs appear? This involves setting the environment variables for Windows 2000.

Although Windows 98 also has environment variable settings in the registry, it is not as easy to modify as Windows 2000. Analyze the contents of the above dialog box, the first is the software installation path, the rest is the system directory, and the last one is the path set by the environment variable. Then look for the dynamic link library file PFPICK. The dll location is found in the system directory. So, open the control panel, double-click "System", select "Environment Variables" in "Advanced", you can see two dialog boxes, above "User User Variables", set the directory of temporary variables, used to store temporary files. The following is the "system variable", set some system parameters, we need to modify the "Path" path here, which reads: %SystemRoot%system32 %SystemRoot% %SystemRoot%System32Wbem we just add later Some statements: "C WINDOWS C WINDOWSSYSTEM C WINDOWSSYSTEM32", then restart the computer, double-click Photoshp5.0c. When you exe, you will find that there are no more dialogs listed earlier. Later, I found that other software, such as ACDSee, foxmail, OICQ, sonique, Jet-audio and other software can also be used directly, Dreamweaver, firework, flash4, CuteFTP can also be used after entering the registration code, and NetAnts will pop up a dialog box to display "msipcsv.exe can't locate the program, enter the point GetProcessFlags on the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll". No matter if you press "OK", you can open it because your system does not delete any information, so your operating system is still safe.
