Description: Windows7 upgrade problem. Vista users found that after they chose to upgrade Windows 7, the upgrade program stopped at 62%.
You can open the installer log file to see what the fault is. Microsoft confirmed that this problem was caused by the Iphlpsvc service not responding during the upgrade process.
The solution is as follows:
1) Restart the computer and go back to Windows Vista;
2) Click "Start", right click "My Computer", and then click "Attributes" ;;
3) On the “Advanced" tab, click "Environment Variable";
4) Under “System Variables>, click “New”;
5) In the "variable name" field, type MIG_UPGRADE_IGNORE_PLUGINS;
6) In the "variable value" field, type IphlpsvcMigPlugin.dll;
7) Click “OK” These dialogs;
8) Start the upgrade installer again.
