How to optimize VISTA fast Internet access

Vista has powerful network functions, but it is not used by most users. In addition, some of Vista's default network settings and restrictions are not conducive to the full potential of Vista's network. This article will further explore Vista's network functions from three aspects: network optimization, network failure, and network breakthrough, in order to help everyone.
First, network optimization
1, for Vista fixed IP and dynamic IP (DHCP) dual insurance
DHCP server eliminates the trouble of users setting up IP, but not all LANs provide DHCP server At this time, only the IP is set by hand. Fixed IP and dynamic IP can be set in Vista. If there is a DHCP server, the IP will be obtained from the DHCP server. Otherwise, we use one of the IPs we specify, and double insurance will make the network more secure.
The setup steps are: "Start”→“Control Panel”→“Network and Internet", double-click "Network and Sharing Center", and then click on the left side & "Manage Network Connections&rdquo In the "Network Connections" folder that opens, right-click the corresponding network card, such as "Local Area Connection", select the "Properties" command, and then select "Internet Protocol Version 4" (TCP/in the Open window). For the IPv4) & rdquo; item, click the "Properties" button below. And in the window that opens again, select "Automatically obtain IP address" and "Obtain the DNS server address automatically" item.
Click the “Alternate Configuration” tab, then select the “User Configuration” item in the Open window, and enter the fixed IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and preferred DNS server address. After setting such settings as 192.168.1.10, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.1.11, etc., when our computer finds that DHCP exists, it will get the IP address from the DHCP server. Otherwise, we will use the fixed IP, subnet mask, default gateway, preferred DNS server address, etc. we set.
2, uninstall the redundant agreement, let the network card lightly loaded
Windows vista by default will be tied to a lot of agreements on the "local connection", to bring unnecessary burden. In fact, according to the network principle, the fewer protocols bundled on the network card, the easier it is to “lightly install”, and the networking speed will naturally be much faster.
The setting steps are: "Control Panel"→“Network and Internet", double-click "Network and Sharing Center", in the open window, click on the left side of "Manage Network Connections" In the open window, right click on "Local Area Connection", select "Attributes", and then cancel the corresponding agreement in the open window. In general, the “QoS Packet Scheduler” and “Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)” can be cancelled. If you just go to the Internet without accessing a special network, you can also remove the Link Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver ” and Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder. If you are not sharing files on the LAN, you can remove <;Microsoft Network Client" and "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks". In general, you only need to keep <;Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
3, reset the network card power management, let Vista wake up and go online
If your network card supports energy saving or The wireless network card may encounter such a situation. When we let Vista go to sleep, we can wake up the system from sleep, but the network card can't wake up and make us unable to access the Internet. In fact, this is because in the default state, in order to save energy, the wireless network card will also go to sleep when the system is dormant, and the network card is different from the general hardware to recover from the sleep state. In this regard, we can set the disable function of the wireless network card, after all, it does not consume much power.
The setup steps are as follows: right click on the system desktop "computer”→“manage”→“device manager”, then expand “network adapter” in the right window and Right-click the corresponding NIC and select “Properties& quoquo; from the pop-up menu. Then in the pop-up dialog box, switch to the "Power Management" option, cancel the system default check box "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". Finally click the “OK" button to save the settings and exit. Or we can go through “Control Panel”→“Power Management", click on the Balanced “Change Plan Settings" and then click “Change Advanced Power Settings", expand “Wireless Adapter Device” ; set its energy saving mode to “Maximum performance”.
