Windows Vista: 32-bit and 64-bit versions

All of these great features of Windows Vista (except the Starter version) are available for both 32-bit and 64-bit processors. For XP, the 64-bit version of Vista has more addressing space than the 32-bit version: from 4GB to 128GB; 16TB of virtual memory is more than 4GB; 64GBRam/process greatly exceeds the previous 2GBRam/process.

32-bit is ideal for Windows XP, 64-bit is just an extension. One of the biggest improvements in Windows Vista is a good start to the 64-bit mechanism. However, the features implemented in Vista 64-bit and 32-bit versions are basically identical.
64-bit Windows Vista uses the WOW mechanism to execute 32-bit programs.
