20 valuable experiences and techniques under Vista

During the months of using Vista, I summed up some useful experiences for comrades who are new to Vista. Of course, I can't talk about sharing. If you have a better idea, please leave a message.

1. Personally feel that it is best to install the disk, install from the hard disk without CD-ROM installation, it is obvious that in the "copy file" step, the CD brush is completed, the hard disk is slower. This is different from the GHOST of the XP era (Vista one-click restore), the hard drive is faster (of course, if your CD-ROM and CD-ROM are not working, then there is no way).
and the installation of the disk has more options, such as formatting the system disk. But if you can't install it, it's only installed from the hard drive.

2. The system's own NIC driver can identify the NIC, but it is recommended to use the motherboard CD to update the NIC driver. It is best to go to the official website of the motherboard to see if there is a new VISTA driver. When I installed the machine, I found that the NIC driver easily caused a blue screen (that is, NDIS.SYS blue screen), especially when using some P2P software (such as eMule VeryCD, BT download BitComet).

3. Sometimes the driver that comes with Vista can be equipped with a graphics card and a sound card driver. As above, it is recommended to manually reinstall the driver.

4. Found a recycle bin on the desktop, no other icons, then you should be in the blank space on the desktop - right click - personalized - in the upper left corner "Change desktop icon" select.

5. Activation: brand machine users (pre-installed HOME BASIC version) can be directly upgraded to U version, the simple way is to download a U version of their own brand, after the installation is directly Genuine.
Or install MSDN version (including 5 versions), and then use the method of importing the certificate: Click the "Start" menu, select "All Programs" > "Accessories", right-click "Command Prompt", select " Run as administrator and confirm the pop-up security prompt.
Execute the command at the command prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc oemcert.xrm-ms
(Example: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:delloemdell.xrm-ms)
Check if Vista is activated. If the BIOS is correct, it should be activated. Certificates can go online to search, a lot.
Ordinary non-OEM users can modify the BIOS activation, but it is recommended not to flash the BIOS with SOFTMOD4.8 soft activation, no risk. OEM users are best not to use that software to activate, of course, the premise is that your machine can run. I found that the HomeBasic version has fewer features (no 3D windows, Media Center, etc.) and is suitable for users whose hardware conditions are not very good.

About this, 28in is easier.

6. Compatibility software: The player feels better with KMP, listen to the song with TTPlayer (the system comes with Media Player 11 for more memory), decompress the software. Needless to say. The input method feels like using Sogou Pinyin! The best five strokes have loopholes under VISTA.
Vista comes with IE7.0, IE7 must-have plug-in IE7Pro remember to install Flash playback control for the first time online (just find a website that needs to play Flash, such as QQ show, IE will prompt you to install the control).
Nearly the commonly used software is more compatible with VISTA, not as alarmist as the online said. And there are a lot of websites on the Internet that provide VISTA compatible software downloads, and I have paid attention to whether the incompatible software has been updated.

7. Anti-virus software: Kabbah is also recommended to use 8.0. Of course, Norton (Norton Antivirus 2008) and NOD32 (NOD32 AntiVirus) are also good.

8. It is recommended to turn off the system hibernation, which can save you the memory size!
Close mode: Enter - "CMD" in the start menu - right click (remember to be right!!) - "Run as administrator" - enter in CMD - "powercfg -h off (The content inside the quotes, there is a space between powercfg and -h...) --- then press Enter, it will be closed.
9. Beautification: Vista optimization master (click to download) This software provides a lot of landscaping features, everyone to ponder it. VISTA's fantasy desktop suggests a small memory user.

10. Open the glass effect (provided that the Home version, Professional version, commercial version or Ultimate version and your graphics card supports AERO effects): desktop right---personalization---color and appearance Choose "WINDOWS AERO", you can!
Some integrated graphics can also open AERO effects, such as my ATI X1250. And very smooth, of course, you have to have more than 2G of memory.

11. System Restore: This feature is recommended to be reserved (if you have enough hard disk space), sometimes system restore is very useful. But if you use Vista one-click restore, you can turn off this feature

12. Theme crack: VISTA optimization master has the theme crack function.

13. Use " Commands such as SYSTEMINFO", "SFC", "MSCONFIG".

14. If there is a camera, please note that you can't plug it in first. You should install the driver CD to install the driver first. After restarting, you can automatically install the driver after connecting the camera. I did that, maybe the camera method would be different. Also, it is best to go to the camera official website to see if there is a driver update (for vista).

15. About cracking the maximum number of TCP/IP links, I generally do not modify it. I have 2M bandwidth and found the same before and after the crack. Note that SP1 users can not use the VISTA optimization master to crack the TCP/IP number. It does not support

16. It is recommended to start the menu in the taskbar properties. Remember to store and display...file list unchecked. Oh, why not say it.
Start menu customization can be set according to your favorite settings. These are all using XP.

17. Transfer virtual memory to a non-system disk. This method has a tutorial online, Baidu has a lot of search...

18. It is not recommended to turn off UAC, although it is very annoying, but VISTA is like that, I don’t feel it when I get used to it, it also helps. System security. If you are not used to it, turn it off in the control panel or Vista optimization master.

19. Upgrade Vista SP1. Although there was news before the release of SP1 that SP1 did not improve much, and this news made many comrades standing on the XP front launched a lot of comparison between XP SP3 and Vista SP1. No matter what the situation is, both are worthy of our expectation. We can't kill it with a stick, right? And SP1's stability, compatibility, system operating efficiency, etc. are all improved.

20. Do you need to upgrade from XP to Vista: Regarding this question, everyone is obsessed with each other. I think it depends on the actual situation. If you have bought a new machine and the hardware configuration is good enough to install Vista, choose Vista. After all, this is a trend. If your hardware is strenuous after all, and the interface effect is not so very concerned, then stick to the practical Xp system.
