WinXP can't start how to migrate data with USB

Many times we will encounter the situation that WinXP system can't be turned on. If there is a lot of important data in the system, you will not choose to reinstall the system directly, but you will find a way to transfer the data to another place. There are a lot of ways to transfer data. Today we are going to introduce you to use USB to migrate data. This method seems complicated, but it is very practical and proficient.

1. Access to the FAT32 partition
The use of the USB disk under DOS needs to solve two problems. First, the system can be booted, and then the USB driver needs to be loaded.
Method 1: Start the system with WinXP boot disk, add the USB disk drive on the boot disk.
WinXP boot disk is easy to get, and the USB disk drive seems to have no omnipotent, may wish to use Panasonic's solution Solution, as long as the manufacturer of your computer motherboard South Bridge is one of Intel, NEC, nVIDIA, VIA or SIS, you can use his USB driver. Download Mhairudos and here. The method of use is: extract the Mhairudos.zip and extract the Di1000dd.sys file from it; Kxlrw40an.exeKxlrw40an is a self-extracting file. After running, the F2H directory will be generated. The RAMFD.SYS, USBCD.SYS and Usbaspi.sys files in the directory will be generated. Copy it to the root directory of the boot disk along with the Di1000dd.sys file you just got. Then modify the CONFIG.SYS file, add 2 lines
Add the following two lines of code anywhere in the [CD] section:
device=a:\\usbaspi.sys
device=a:\\di1000dd.sys< Br> Now, the homemade boot disk is ready to use.
Method 2: Start directly with a USB disk
If the computer does not have a floppy drive, the first method cannot be used. In fact, most of the current motherboards support booting from the USB disk, and the production method is also simple: use the USB disk's own tools to make the boot disk. When booting, you need to boot from the USB device under the BIOS. Enter the first boot device option under the BIOS Advanced BIOS Features, there are usb-fdd, usb-hdd, usb-zip, usb-cdrom and other usb device boot options. In the experiment, only Win-ME can be done in Win ME. Under Win 98SE, USB-HDD and USB-ZIP can be done. The experiment is passed under the 845 motherboard and the Patriot.
If the USB disk is purchased earlier, it does not support the boot function or the tool that does not make the boot disk, you can use GHOST to do it (this is a method provided by a netizen), first use the bootable USB disk to make the boot disk, then Run GHOST to do an image file, the method is: Local→Partition→To Image, then restore this GHO file to the old USB disk, the method is: Local→Partition→From Image, so the old USB disk can be started after processing.
