The computer realizes the shared Internet access method under Windows XP system

A LAN has added a client, but the hub port is full, which means that the newly added client can't access the LAN, and even the shared resources can't be accessed, let alone share the Internet. The network management does not intend to add a hub. At this time, the Windows XP "bridge" function comes in handy, but a prerequisite is required, that is, the LAN must have a Windows XP system client with a dual network card installed. Prerequisites are available, and the idea will be realized soon. In order to easily distinguish the description objects, the following client with dual network card is called “Customer A”, and the newly added client is called “Customer B””. The method is as follows:
First ensure that “Customer A” can access resources on the LAN and share Internet access, open “Network and Dial-up Connection”, and rename the “local connection” that was originally connected to the LAN to “local” Connect-Host", rename another "local connection" to “local connection-customer", and then use twisted pair (two-way direct connection) to "local connection-customer" corresponding The network card and the "customer B" business card are directly connected.
Next, set the network properties on the "Customer B", specify an empty IP address and "computer name", other settings such as "subnet mask", "default gateway", "ldquo; DNS The server”,“workgroup” and “customer A” machine settings are the same.
Now, if "Customer A" and "Customer B" can access each other's shared resources, it means that they have already succeeded in half. The next thing to do is to use Windows XP's "bridge" to "local" Connect - Host & rdquo; and & ldquo; Local Connection - Customer & rdquo; Connected.
The so-called one-port shared Internet access, here is the same LAN, the two machines share a Hub or switch port to share Internet access. Before Windows XP, this idea may be difficult to implement in Microsoft's operating system. However, since the release of Windows XP, it is not difficult to realize this concept by using the newly added "bridge" function.
Customer A” On-board access to the "Network and Dial-up Connections" window, right-click on the "Local Area Connection - Host" button, click on the "Bridge" menu in the menu, the system starts to give these two Connect for bridging. When the bridging is successful, open the “Bridge” property page and set all adapters to connect to the local network. Now open IE browser, “Customer B” machine can also access the Internet. In the LAN, the two machines share a Hub port to share the Internet.
According to this method, if a new client is added to the LAN, another client in the LAN can be used to bridge the newly added client, and so on, if the above method is "Customer B" The machine can also bridge the client, then it can be said that the LAN only needs one Hub, but if there are more new clients, it is recommended that you buy another Hub as well, not only "bridge" & rdquo; It is necessary to add a network card. If there is a better way to achieve this theme, I hope everyone will add.
